Some parrots love to bath others do not. If you teach them from very young to
bath they do so on their own. They are also extremely found of being sprayed
with a light spray in the summer months.

Newcastle - Kwa Zulu Natal - Fort Amiel Museum

Newcastle Dundee South Africa

Hi there, TrudyVan here,

Another reason why I love Newcastle is that there is so much to see and to do. Today a little bit of information regarding Fort Amiel.

Newcastle - Kwa Zulu Natal - Fort Amiel Museum

Major Charles Frederick Amiel and his army the 80th Regiment of 200 strong men secured the town of Newcastle in 1876 against the Zulu's. Fort Amiel was used as an important Miliary outpost. Fort Ameil as a long history.

It was also used during the Transvaal war in 1881 and in the Anglo-Boer war in 1899 to 1902.
Fort Amiel has been fully restored. Beautiful kists and trickets from days gone by. You can feel that big things happened at the fort.

You can view the fort and entrance is free between 10:00 - 16:00 on weekdays and 09: - 12:00 on Saturdays. If you have a few minutes spare pop into the Fort Amiel Museum. It is definetly worth the visit.

See you when you arrive in Newcastle

Winter has arrived in Newcastle

Newcastle Dundee South Africa

Hello there, TrudyVan here

Winter has arrived in Newcastle and there are leaves everywhere.

Winter shades and winter colours have a beauty all of their own. From deep red to the different shades of yellow mixed inbetween the still green leaves. The amazing pictures of colour all over the mountains. We have winter flowers that are just as beautiful as our summer flowers.

And Ofcourse, the birds that now flock to our garden in search of food. Our bird feeders are alive with Olive Thrushes, finches, doves and pigeons to name but a few.
Newcastle has a very resonable climate most of the time. You can almost predict what the weather is going to be. Summer is known for its electric storms in the late afternoon and winter is known for is dry leaves that look like snow as it lays thick on the lawns on a daily basis.

We also have the famous Fort Amiel. More about this is a later post.

Will be posting again soon

Welcome to Madadeni Hospital, South Africa

Newcastle Dundee South Africa

Hello There, TrudyVan here

Wow!! What an experience it is to go to Madadeni Hospital. TeejTracy has just had her Kidney operation there. She had kidney failure.

Fantastic Doctors and Nursing staff. I would like to thank one and all at the hospital for the kind and wonderful care you are giving to TeejTracy. You gave me my daughter back and you have made certain that she will be able to carry on with her Internet Marketing as well as forful her mission in life.

You all deal with hundreds of patients every day and your dedication can only be recommended as on of South Africa's best caring hospital. Believe me I have been to quite a few. This is the first hospital that is friendly, polite and caring, despite the huge amount of patients that come through your doors on a daily basis.

I can tell you that I had my doubt but now I know just how fantastic you are.

Once again I thank you

Kindest regards
TrudyVan and TeejTracy.

Rain Rain and More Rain in Newcastle

Newcastle Dundee South Africa

Hi there, TrudyVan here

Rain, rain and more rain in Newcastle. Wow, so much water everywhere. Great benefits to our farmers. Crops are standing high in the fields and prospects are now looking up.

The green mountains surrounding Newcastle are a lush green colour. Field flowers of every colour everywhere. The beautiful cloud formations with the sunlight shining through them every now and again. Birds are a plenty of all kinds, colours and shapes.

I am truely blessed to be living in our beautiful town, with its warm hearted people and ready smiles. Newcastle has tree lined streets and shrubs. Most people still take great pride in their gardens and our surroundings.

The best part is that we can take a short drive and you are on top of the mountain looking down at our beautiful town. There are many lakes, rivers and water pans. Cattle grazing in the fields and there are also beautiful wild game farms in our surrounding area. Zebras, springbok, buffulo, boboons to name but a few.

Yes I am truely blessed to be living in Newcastle, South Africa.

Motor Car Safety tip

Newcastle Dundee South Africa

Hi there

Here is a quick safety tip for you to protect your motor vehicle. Did you know that in some dealerships, if you give them the *VIN* number that is on the label on your dash board, (the number is situated in difference places depending on the motor vehicle), that they will cut a spare key for you. Now you know how motor vehicle thiefs get to steal your vehicle. If you can see you *VIN* number from the outside of the vehicle. I suggest that you cover it up. Remember it is unlawful to remove this number. Cover it with tape. This goes for vehicle and trucks.

Speak to you again soon

New to Dundee Newcastle SA

Hi there TrudyVan here

I am a full time Internet marketer and I work from home.

I got the idea to put up this blog spot when my husband and I had to move to Newcastle because of his work. I searched the net for estate agents and found 3. Only one responded and he could not help me. It cost us to take a trip into Dundee and then to Newcastle before we could find accommodation.

Thank Goodness when we arrived there were wonderful agents that helped us. A Very BIG Thank You to ALLIED ESTATES. They went the extra mile and we are now settled in a wonderful home. We are still staying in one of their rented houses. If something breaks they come and fix it.

I hope this blog spot will help you find what you are looking for. You are free to comment or make suggestions, All comments must be free of hate speech, child or women abuse, Abuse of animals, Keep it clean folks, etc
